Football returns to the ICCAC for the 2024 season. Back-to-back National Champions Iowa Western headline the three teams. Iowa Central is coming off another top 10 season and hope to get over the hump in 2024. Ellsworth has another head coaching change, their fourth in the last seven seasons. All three teams will play a nine-game schedule again this season in the KJCCC-ICCAC Alliance.
The Reivers went 11-1 last season storming their way to a second consecutive national title and the third in program history. Iowa Western heads into the 2024 season without some key pieces from 2024 on defense and offense -- but that won't stop them from eyeing a fourth straight national championship game appearance.
Iowa Central and Ellsworth both showed improvement last year, but both have their own obstacles to overcome.
The Tritons finished last season with a statement victory over No. 5 Snow in the Game One Bowl winning 44-9. Iowa Central will lose some key players on the offense from last year and may have a season-long quarterback competition. If the Tritons can get over the hump and pull out wins against the Alliance's best -- they could enter the playoff conversation.
The Panthers managed to chart two victories on their overall record, going 2-9. Ellsworth went winless in 2022 and showed the signs of a team heading in a better direction. The 2024 season will be a new ride for the Panthers with new head coach Matt White leading the way in Iowa Falls.
